Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals
OBAP is dedicated to supporting minority interests and placement in aerospace careers. To date, OBAP has awarded nearly $7 million in scholarships to more than 500 diverse recipients nationwide. The scholarships, made available through strengthened partnerships with key carriers and aviation-related businesses, allow award recipients to advance or pursue diverse aviation-related careers. An active OBAP membership is required to apply.

Aero Club of Southern California Scholarship
The Aero Club of Southern California "College Student Scholarship". Up to eight awards are made each year. Students who are attending a college, university or trade school in Southern California are eligible to apply. Awards are made based on academic prowess, financial need and passion for aviation. The awards are up to $1,000 each and are used to pay for tuition costs.
- $2,500 grants to high school students who plan to pursue classroom studies in aviation or aerospace
- $5,000 grants to students currently pursuing aviation studies at a college, university or accredited technical school
Apps are due in July.

American Yankee Association Scholarship
A scholarship of up to $2,500 USD to assist applicants who are 16 to 25 years old in obtaining a Private Pilot license or equivalent. Apps are due by February 1. Candidates may be from any country.
