My Personal Mission is to Help You !
I wish a course like this existed 45 years ago when I first earned my Private Pilot License. Back then, I was young, determined — and broke. My family couldn’t afford to pay for my training, so I spent my days cutting lawns and juggling part-time jobs just to keep my dream alive. Thanks to the incredible support of the Aviation Explorer Eagle Scouts of El Segundo, California, I finally earned my Private Pilot License at just 18 years old.
From there, it was a whirlwind of training. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona, I dove headfirst into aviation. But it wasn’t easy. I wasted a lot of money — and even more time — on poor instructors and flight schools that had no real plan for me becoming a professional pilot.
In fact, the FAA has consistently reported over the years that 70% to 80% of student pilots either drop out or stall before completing their private pilot certification. Reasons include:
